Abstract
<jats:p>The main theme of the sixth volume of the publishing series Świat w perspektywie sztuki, sztuka w perspektywie świata #Interdyscyplinarność (The World in the Perspective of Art, Art in the Perspective of the World #Interdisciplinarity) of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is interdisciplinarity. The texts collected in the volume present various approaches to the interdisciplinary nature of art. They concern both creative participation, theoretical reflection and relations with other scientific disciplines. The thematic scope covers a wide spectrum of considerations and analyses – from scientific studies of contemporary concepts and ideas, through the presentation of research results and their methods, to the analysis of contemporary trends in art and the work of selected artists. The authors of the presented studies are representatives of various environments: artists, art theoreticians, educators and teachers. In their texts they refer to art, popular culture and art, media and music. What united them all was a genuine need to speak out on issues that remain extremely important to them. It concerns art, culture and artistic education.</jats:p>
