Abstract
<jats:p>Scientific monograph Świat w perspektywie sztuki, sztuka w perspektywie świata #Środowisko (The World in the Perspective of Art, Art in the Perspective of the World #Environment) is the fifth volume of the publishing series of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń. The study contains texts on broadly understood culture, art and artistic education and meets the need to create a space for the presentation of views and exchange of experiences among the scientific and artistic community. The presented texts reflect the diversity of this environment, which is created by artists, art theorists, educators and teachers. This is reflected in the multitude of topics discussed from different points of view and perspectives. The integrative dimension of this publication should be emphasised, offering a group of practitioners and theoreticians interested in art and artistic education the opportunity to share modern concepts, interesting ideas, analyses, research results, significant artistic and scientific achievements, and innovative working methods. It is worth noting in this context that the main theme of this volume is the environment. Hence, the reflection on the broadly understood environment: artistic, social, cultural, media, natural, understood as a challenge, but also an inspiration for contemporary art and artistic education.</jats:p>
