Abstract
<jats:p>The subject of this research is the innovative technology of conducting classes in higher school in the form of a performance. The work is carried out on the example of the author's developments in the discipline "Taxes and Taxation". The purpose of the study is to develop the basics of the performance as an educational technology for conducting lectures and seminars in the system of higher education on the example of classes on tax topics. The methodology of the study involves the consistent disclosure of the conceptual foundations of the technology of conducting classes in the form of a performance: The work uses the methods of analysis of scientific research of foreign and domestic authors on general issues of educational technologies; storytelling; game practitioners and gamification; pedagogy of impressions and synthesis, taking into account the scientific and pedagogical experience of the author of the main provisions for conducting classes-performances. For the first time, the tasks that are solved in the course of classes-performances are systematically revealed; the stages of preparation and implementation of performances, including the preparation of the lesson, the development of a script plan, receiving feedback and improving future performances; resources and skills necessary to implement lectures and seminars in the form of performances; the results of the introduction of the technology of teaching and education in the form of a performance in universities. The article is intended to help both beginners and experienced university teachers in mastering the new technology of conducting classes in higher school in the form of a performance. This is relevant and useful both for the keepers of classical teaching traditions and for connoisseurs of creative innovative teaching technologies.</jats:p>
