Abstract
<jats:p>The textbook discusses the basic principles and algorithms of first aid in the conditions of official activity of law enforcement officers. The theoretical foundations of first aid, the rules of emergency care for injuries, bleeding, burns, wounds, acute respiratory failure and cardiac arrest, as well as the specifics of the use of medical equipment and transportation of victims are described. The material is presented taking into account the specifics of the professional activities of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, which allows cadets to form the necessary knowledge and practical skills for effective response in emergency situations. It is intended for training cadets of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the discipline "First aid" in the areas of training "Law and order enforcement", "Legal support for national security", "Psychology of official activity". It is suitable both for self-study and for use by teachers during first aid classes.</jats:p>
