Abstract
<jats:p>This article examines the role of rural teachers in contemporary education in Russia. It discusses the challenges and changes facing teachers amidst the transformation of the country’s socioeconomic conditions and educational system. It analyzes modern approaches to teaching, teachers’ needs, and the “Zemsky Teacher” program, which aims to attract specialists to rural schools. Particular attention is paid to the sociopsychological aspects of teachers’ work, as well as the impact of rural schools on the development of civic stance in the younger generation. The importance of supporting rural teachers and creating a favorable working environment is emphasized.</jats:p>
