Abstract
<jats:p>This essay explores the effect of Prince’s death on his hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the legacy building efforts there since his passing in 2016. Emma Balázs and Kristen Zschomler document and discuss their work with fans and the Prince community in the wake of his death and beyond, drawing on their expertise as curator and historian respectively to create projects that celebrate and deepen the understanding of his legacy. Selections from a Balázs-Zschomler curatorial project, Houses of Prince, are woven through the text.</jats:p>
