Abstract
Abstract
The final chapter draws on the content and themes presented in each chapter to propose tentative recommendations for promoting the paradigm of practice-based evidence. The guidance is presented in the form of brief actionable points grouped into four key domains. These include (I) research strategies, (II) policy development, (III) clinical training infrastructure and personal skills acquisition, and (IV) clinical procedures and data-informed practices. Within each of these four domains of influence are listed five key areas, thereby yielding 20 specific areas of action. The authors posit that the yield of this body of work provides a rich scientific basis for contributing to the development of practice and research on an equal basis to that of randomized controlled trials.
