<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title>
<jats:p>This article describes the main modes of interpreting—consecutive and simultaneous—in spoken and sign language, and their use in settings as varied as conference, community, public service, legal, remote, and distant interpreting. Hybrid forms of interpreting, such as SimulCons or interlingual respeaking, are also included.</jats:p>
